Security Analyst and Head of Research at the West African Network for Peacebuilding, (WANP),Dr. Festus Kofi, has cautioned against electoral violence, emphasizing the need for patience and peaceful conduct while the Electoral Commission (EC) works to resolve challenges.
His remarks come in response to various incidents of violence recorded during the voting process and
He encouraged Ghanaians to choose peace against violence reminding them to allow the electoral commission to do their job.
“Let’s be patient and allow the EC and security forces to find solutions instead of resorting to verbal confrontations, which can escalate into physical harm. We must ensure peaceful conduct to prevent further issues at polling stations”
Speaking to Univers News, he reiterated the importance of avoiding violence at polling stations, stressing that such efforts would pave the way for a successful and peaceful election process.
