New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Ningo-Prampram constituency, Michael Tettey Eku, has expressed optimism about his chances of winning the parliamentary seat, as well as delivering a significant margin of votes for the NPP’s presidential candidate.
Speaking to Univers News, Eku has confidently defended his party’s record, countering criticisms from the incumbent Member of Parliament, Hon. Samuel Nartey George of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He highlighted several infrastructure projects undertaken by the NPP government, which he claimed have transformed the constituency. Among these is the $7 million Sea Defense Project, which he described as a monumental achievement. He also mentioned the nearly completed state-of-the-art hospital under the government’s Agenda 111 initiative, which he said is one of the largest health facilities in the constituency.
He also pointed out to pointed to several road projects completed under the NPP’s tenure, which has been fully tarred.

The Ningo-Prampram Constituency, made up of the traditional areas of Prampram and Ningo, has long been a stronghold of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) since the inception of Ghana’s Fourth Republic. For decades, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has struggled to secure victory in the constituency and is yet to win the parliamentary seat.
However, NPP parliamentary candidate Michael Tettey Eku remains optimistic that this year’s elections could mark a turning point. Speakigng to the media, Eku expressed confidence in his chances, attributing his optimism to the NPP government’s developmental achievements in the constituency
