The Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum, has called for the support of Ghanaians ahead of Dreams Fc’s second leg Caf Confederation Cup semi-final tie against Zamalek on Sunday.

The Still Believe lads managed to hold out a 0-0 stalemate in the first-leg at the Cairo International Stadium on Sunday, setting up a must-win encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium at the weekend.

Despite being the most potent attacking force in the competition with 14 goals, Dreams Fc were held at arms length by the Egyptians, preventing Karim Zito’s men from picking up a win and leaving the tie to be decided in Ghana.

Dreams Fc, who play their home league games at the Theatre of Dreams in Dewu, have been playing their continental home fixtures at their newly discovered home grounds, the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The team has managed to adapt well to life at their new home grounds and eke out amazing results; yet to be defeated at home, scoring 8 goals and conceding 2.

However, the turn out in those games have been below par, leading to the Communications Director of the GFA to send a heartfelt plea to Ghanaians across the nation to come and show maximum support to the team.

The FA has supported Dreams in diverse ways. Before they went to the competition, we supported them with $30,000 as a token. Same was given to Medeama. Unfortunately, Medeama couldn’t make it from the group, but they did marvelously well and I think they represented as very well. Dreams need the support of every Ghanaian to eliminate Zamalek, and that is what we want to do on Sunday, he said

In light of this, the club has issued a statement pertaining to supporters being allowed free entry to the stadium on Sunday, with the exception of the VIP and Vvip stands which goes at a fee.
