Nottingham Forest Women have secured the signature of Ghana international forward Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, just weeks after she impressed at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations and helped the Black Queens win bronze.

The 29-year-old joins from London City Lionesses following a productive spell in the Women’s Championship, where she scored 10 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions. She struck 8 goals in 23 matches during the 2023–24 campaign and added 2 goals in 6 appearances early in 2024–25, underlining her consistency and attacking threat.

Her time at London City was highlighted by a decisive contribution on the final day of the 2024–25 season, when she scored a vital header in a 2-2 draw against Birmingham City, a result that confirmed the Lionesses’ historic promotion to the Women’s Super League.

Boye-Hlorkah carried her club form onto the international stage at WAFCON 2024, where she played a key role in Ghana’s third-place finish. She was named Player of the Match in a group-stage win over Tanzania, scoring one of the goals and showcasing her versatility by operating both on the flanks and through the middle.

Born in Liverpool but proudly representing Ghana, Boye-Hlorkah’s career has been defined by adaptability, resilience, and consistent performances. Her move to Nottingham marks the next chapter in a journey that has taken her from youth football in England to Championship promotion battles and the AFCON podium.

Forest supporters will be eager to see if her combination of aerial power, positional intelligence, and leadership can deliver decisive moments in red and white this season.
