Ghana’s 2023/24 MTN FA Cup Winners Nsoatreman FC has qualified for the next stage of the CAF Confederations Cup after a 5-0 aggregate scoreline over Elect Football Club from Chad.

Neoatreman FC won the first-leg encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium on August 18th, 2024. 25-year-old Mohammed Abdul Rahaman scored a brace in the 30th and 35th minute while Meider Kwabena added one to ensure that the Amanaso boys grabbed victory in their maiden appearance in the CAF Confederation Cup game at home.

Before the reverse encounter, Elect Sports Football Club had won just one out of their last five games at home in the previous season making it easier for Nsoatreman per the Statistics.

The Ahmadou Ahidjou Stadium was favorable as few fans were creating a friendly and serene environment for the away side. Coach Yaw Preko paraded a side strong enough to beat Elect Sports as his tactical display worked to perfection.

The Ghanaian side took the lead in the 34th minute through Fuseini Walid after a well-worked play from the visiting team. Stephan Diyou added the second goal for Nsoatreman Football Club in the 86th minute as the away side won 2-0 in the reverse fixture of the CAF Confederation Cup Preliminary Round.

Nsoatreman Football Club will now face the winner of the game between Police Football Club of Rwanda and CS Constantine of Algeria.
