Black Sharks of Ghana qualify for 2024 Beach Soccer AFCON

The Ghana National Beach Soccer Team has secured a spot in the upcoming Beach Soccer African Cup of Nations following a victory over Ivory Coast in today’s qualifiers at the Stade De l’Agora De Port-Bouet in Abidjan.

The Black Sharks of Ghana defeated the Sand Elephants of Ivory Coast 5-3 in the first leg at Keta Emancipation Beach Arena. They then secured a 5-2 victory in the second leg, resulting in a 10-5 aggregate win.

For the first time since 2016, the Black Sharks, Ghana’s Beach Soccer team, will participate in the Beach Soccer African Cup of Nations.

The Black Sharks trailed 2-1 in the first period of the game but made a strong comeback to secure a 5-2 victory by full-time. Ghanaian players Wise Nyamadi and captain Alex Osah scored two quick goals, followed by late goals from Precious Torgbor and Jude Akile, sealing the win for the Ghanaian Beach Soccer Team.

The 2024 edition of the Beach Soccer African Cup of Nations is set to be hosted in Egypt.
