BetPawa GPL: Amponsah grabs late win for Phobians to kick start post Koopman era

Raphael Amponsah secured all 3 points for Accra Hearts of Oak in their 2-1 match week 11 victory against Accra lions at the Accra Sports stadium to begin life away from Martinus Koopman on a positive note.

Koopman, who was brought to the club before the commencement of the ongoing season, left the helm of affairs for the Phobians after a relatively slow start to the campaign, with the Dutch gaffer recording two wins in 10 league outings.

Hearts will look to build on their 3rd win of the season with a home encounter against Berekum Chelsea next on the cards.

Hamza Issah is soon to become a bonafide star within sects of the phobian fanbase. Issah burst on to the scene from the youth set up, Auroras and has since gone on to score 5 goals in 9 appearances.

Issah’s rich vein of form makes him Hearts of Oak’s go to man with his 5 goal tally already surpassing last season top scorers for the side, Benjamin York, Salifu Ibrahim and Linda Mtange who all scored 4 goals each. But there is a lot of excitement in stock for the Phobians with the young prodigy attaining this feet in 17 less appearances.

Issah goal scoring prowess and resilience epitomizes the ‘Never say die’ mojo of the rainbow club.
