Raphael Amponsah secured all 3 points for Accra Hearts of Oak in their 2-1 match week 11 victory against Accra lions at the Accra Sports stadium to begin life away from Martinus Koopman on a positive note.
Koopman, who was brought to the club before the commencement of the ongoing season, left the helm of affairs for the Phobians after a relatively slow start to the campaign, with the Dutch gaffer recording two wins in 10 league outings.
The game against Lions had much importance attached to it, with Hearts looking to get their season back on track. The rainbow club showed dogged determination and drew first blood early on with sensational Hamza Issah powering home a header from close range to put Hearts ahead on the 6th minute.
The goal seemed to set the wind out of the sails of Hearts of oak with Lions proving a real menace after falling behind and ensured parity after 27 minutes courtesy, Abass Salifu with both teams holding on to a 1-1 first half score line.
The recess proved pivotal for both sides with the pep talk of both managers coming to the fore as both teams showed real attacking impetus but lacked the desired cutting edge.
Hearts of Oak continued to probe in the game and were rewarded in the dying embers, with Raphael Amponsah’s strike from inside the box to seal all three points for hearts and guarantee the Phobians first away win of the season.
Hearts will look to build on their 3rd win of the season with a home encounter against Berekum Chelsea next on the cards.

But there is a lot of excitement in stock for the Phobians with the young prodigy attaining this feet in 17 less appearances.
