Kwame Owusu Danso, the running mate of Alan Kyerematen in the Movement for Change campaign, has expressed unshakable confidence in their victory in the upcoming December elections.

Speaking on Radio Univers’ Election Spotlight show on Friday, November 22, Owusu Danso boldly predicted that Kyerematen would secure over 50% of the vote, based on their internal data.

“The data that we have suggests that Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen is going to get 50 plus one of the votes coming up in December.”

He attributed this optimism to voter fatigue with the longstanding dominance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to Owusu Danso, many Ghanaians feel disconnected from these traditional parties, leading to widespread apathy. However, he credited the Movement for Change’s innovative policies for reigniting voter interest and offering a practical and achievable alternative for Ghana’s future.

“The good people of this country have decided they don’t want to vote again. They are tired of the NPP and NDC. But at least we have managed to present an alternative that is practical, feasible, and achievable.”

Owusu Danso did not hold back in critiquing the economic records of both the NDC and the NPP. He dismissed the NDC’s attempts to highlight their past performance, comparing their time in office, when the dollar-to-cedi rate was 4.8, to the current 16.5 under the NPP.

“The NDC says we should compare their time, when the dollar was 4.8, to the NPP’s current 16.5. But even at 4.8, Ghanaians were complaining. So you’re comparing two failures.”

In a passionate appeal to the youth of the nation, Owusu Danso urged them to reject the superficial allure of fleeting trends and instead embrace genuine transformation.

“You continue to support these two political parties because we have come to sort of understand that oh if it is not this one it must be this one. That is why you are continuing, you are following you know these two political parties.”

As the country gears up for the upcoming elections, Owusu Danso’s message is clear: it’s time for Ghanaians to break free from the traditional dominance of the NPP and NDC and embrace a new era of leadership.

With the Movement for Change offering a fresh alternative, Owusu Danso is confident that Alan Kyerematen will emerge victorious in the upcoming elections.
