The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially invited former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo, to appear before its Disciplinary Committee on Monday, April 7, 2025. The invitation, signed by William Yamoah, Director of Finance and Administration, is in line with a directive from the Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee.
According to the letter dated March 24, 2025, the hearing will take place at 11:00 a.m. in the Conference Room at the NPP Headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra. The purpose of the meeting is to seek her assistance in an ongoing inquiry currently under consideration by the committee.
“You are hereby invited to appear before the Committee to provide assistance in an inquiry into a matter currently under its consideration,” the letter stated.
The correspondence also urges Adwoa Safo to present any documentary evidence or witnesses relevant to the case. It further indicates that she is entitled to legal representation during the proceedings, should she require it.
“Furthermore, you are entitled to legal representation during the proceedings should you so require. Kindly acknowledge receipt of this correspondence and confirm your attendance,” it added.
The NPP assured that the party remains committed to upholding transparency, fairness, and due process and expressed appreciation for Adwoa Safo’s cooperation in the matter.
The letter was issued on behalf of Honourable Patrick Boamah, Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee, and was copied to the National Chairman, the General Secretary, and the Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee.
Adwoa Safo’s invitation follows a referral from the general secretary of the party after she allegedly breached party regulations by making public statements deemed detrimental to party unity.
