Matchweek 29 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League delivered high drama at both ends of the table, with Medeama SC emerging as the standout performers of the weekend.
The Tarkwa-based side sent a strong message to their title rivals with a commanding 4–0 demolition of Asante Kotoko, showcasing their attacking prowess and tightening their grip on top spot.
Elsewhere, Aduana Stars played a decisive role in shaping the title race, securing a crucial 2–1 victory over second-placed Bibiani Gold Stars. The result handed Medeama a two-point lead at the summit with five matches remaining. Aduana remain firmly in contention, sitting fourth on 45 points and within touching distance of the top three.
There were emphatic results across other centres. Dreams FC thrashed Eleven Wonders 5–1, a result that leaves the latter on the brink of relegation. FC Samartex edged Berekum Chelsea 1–0 to keep their top-four hopes alive, while Nations FC continued their impressive home form with a 2–0 win over Basake Holy Stars.
In Wenchi, Young Apostles secured a vital 1–0 victory over Swedru All Blacks in a tense relegation battle. Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak were held to a 1–1 draw by Vision FC, dropping valuable points in the title race.
At the top of the table, Medeama lead with 53 points, followed by Bibiani Gold Stars on 51. Hearts of Oak sit third with 46 points, while Aduana Stars (45), FC Samartex (44), and Asante Kotoko (43) complete the top six.
With just five matches to go, the title race is increasingly narrowing into a two-horse contest between Medeama and Bibiani Gold Stars. At the other end, Eleven Wonders appear destined for the drop, while the battle for survival remains wide open, with Berekum Chelsea and Swedru All Blacks among those still at risk.
The run-in promises intense competition, where every point could prove decisive in determining both champions and relegation casualties.
