Haruna Iddrisu pledges support for new journalism and diplomacy programme

Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has outlined plans to support the establishment of a programme in Journalism and Diplomacy in Peacebuilding at the University of Ghana’s School of Communication Studies.

He made this remark at the Dr. Ibn Mohammed Chambas at 75 celebration, an event that highlighted the legacy of diplomacy, leadership, and service.

Speaking at the event, Haruna Iddrisu stated that he will not use public funds to support the proposed Journalism and Diplomacy in Peacebuilding project, emphasising that any contribution he makes toward the initiative will come from his personal resources.

“To the School of Communication Studies at the University of Ghana, I am dedicating support to establish a programme in Journalism and Diplomacy in Peacebuilding in honour of the Department of Communication Studies of the University of Ghana. I’m not going to use public funds. It will not be public resources; it will be Haruna resources,” he said.
