Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of CarePoint Dr. Sangu Delle has called on the graduating Class of 2025 to rise as servant-leaders committed to justice, equity, and national development, urging them to give back to their communities and alma mater in meaningful ways.

‎Dr. Delle delivered a powerful and emotionally charged keynote address at the University of Ghana’s congregation ceremony on Saturday, encouraging graduands to lead with purpose, integrity, and empathy.

‎ “True leadership is about serving others, about lifting up those who cannot lift up themselves, about challenging the status quo when it does not serve justice, and about speaking truth to power, whether that power resides in the government, the corporation, the university, or even in our own hearts,” he said.

‎The CarePoint executive, also an alumnus of the university, emphasized the importance of contributing to the institution that shaped them. Reflecting on his own academic journey and financial challenges, he announced a personal pledge to the University of Ghana’s Financial Aid Directorate

‎“Your alma mater, the University of Ghana, has given you the tools to succeed,” he said. “I too benefited from this great university. I studied here in the College of Humanities—first in the political science department for a semester during a study abroad exchange program when I was an undergraduate at Harvard University, and again for a semester at the School of Law during an exchange with Harvard Law School, where I was taught by Professor Atuguba.”

‎In honor of the Class of 2025, Dr. Delle pledged a donation to the College of Humanities and urged fellow graduands to follow his example.

‎ “And I ask the Class of 2025 to join me. I will donate to financial aid for a simple reason: Brilliance is evenly distributed, but opportunity is not. And we have a moral responsibility to democratize opportunity,” he said.

‎He encouraged graduates to give back in any way they can—through mentorship, mobilizing resources, or building stronger communities—to ensure that future University of Ghana students can access even greater opportunities.

‎ “Now it is your turn to give back, Class of 2025. Whether it’s through mentorship, mobilizing resources, or helping to build a stronger community, your contributions can help ensure that future generations of University of Ghana students have the same opportunities you’ve been fortunate enough to receive and even better ones,” he said.
