After a period of silence, Ghanaian trap sensation Edoh YAT has made a strong return to the music scene with a heartfelt new single titled “Goodbye.” Known for his introspective lyricism and emotionally resonant sound, Edoh YAT uses the new track to reconnect with fans and reintroduce the soul behind his craft.
In an interview with Kvng Kelly on At The DJ’s Mercy on 4th July 2025, the Wind hitmaker admitted to taking a necessary break from the spotlight, explaining that sometimes, “to move forward, you must step back, reassess, and come back stronger. I’ve been dormant for a while, but it’s been intentional, I needed to repackage and reflect. It’s all part of the growth process,” he said.
The making of “Goodbye”
The new single Goodbye was born out of a creative rut, which the artist candidly described as writer’s block. He recounted how a spontaneous jam session with his producer Mono led to the track’s unexpected creation.
“I hadn’t recorded for nearly a month. I stepped out with Mono, and when we got back, he just sat behind the keyboard and started playing. The lyrics started flowing immediately,” Edoh YAT shared.
He emphasised that Goodbye wasn’t written in advance—it was pure vibe and emotion, captured in the moment.
The song, now available across streaming platforms, has already started gaining traction, with fans praising its raw delivery and soulful energy. Edoh YAT also revealed that a music video is in the works, promising fans an even more immersive experience.
From Dansoman roots to a promising future
Reflecting on his early days, Edoh YAT spoke about growing up in Dansoman and making music since 2009. He shared how his journey crossed paths with notable acts like Awal, Tulenkey, and Kofi Mole, with whom he has maintained strong artistic bonds.
“After school, I moved in with Fimfim, and it was through him that I discovered Kofi Mole. Our vibe clicked instantly. I also used to roll with Tulenkey back then, we even had a rap battle once,” he recalled.
The rapper hinted at upcoming collaborations with both Kofi Mole and Larruso, noting that the latter shares his roots and musical drive.
“Larruso and I are from the same place. He’s a very talented artist, and I’ve been talking to him. We’re cooking something together. Fans should expect fire.”

What’s next for Edoh YAT
As he rebuilds momentum, Edoh YAT teased a full release calendar ahead. He plans to drop a series of singles, followed by an EP, and eventually, a full album.
“This is only the beginning of the new chapter. There’s more coming—trust me,” he said confidently.
With Goodbye, Edoh YAT is not just saying farewell to the silence—he’s marking his return to the centre of Ghana’s evolving music scene. And this time, he’s back with even more heart, hunger, and honesty.
