Ghanaian musician King Paluta has raised concerns over the exclusion of his hit song Makoma from key categories in the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) nominations. In a formal petition to the TGMA Board, the rapper and songwriter questioned why his song was left out of Most Popular Song of the Year, Hiplife Song of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Record of the Year.
According to King Paluta, Makoma had all the essential elements to qualify for these categories, citing its strong public reception and overall impact on the music industry. He expressed his disappointment, stating that he and his team acknowledge the competence of the TGMA Board and are willing and hoping to hear from them soon.
