The Black stars Ghana drew 1-1 with Niger in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Municipal Stadium in Berkane, Morocco.

Stade Rennais right-back, Alidu Seidu scored a stunning 35-yard goal in the 35th minute to put Ghana ahead, but Niger equalized through Oumar Sako in the 81st minute.

The equalizer came after a scramble in the box and deflated Ghana’s hopes of securing a victory.

Despite two changes to the starting lineup, Ghana struggled to create chances and were punished for their lack of attacking threat.

The draw leaves Ghana winless in Group F with one point from two games.

The team’s inability to hold onto their lead and create clear-cut chances cost them the win, and they will need to improve in their upcoming games to advance in the qualifiers.

Ghana’s next challenge will be against Kwesi Appiah’s Sudan in October, and they will need to significantly improve to stand high chance of progressing to the tournament.
