Black Princesses of Ghana secured an outstanding 4-0 victory over Premier League side Hasaacas Ladies in a local friendly on Friday at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
The friendly served as a test for Hasaacas Ladies, who will represent Ghana in the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers this month, as well as a part of the Black Princesses’ preparation for the 2024 U-20 World Cup in Columbia.
A brace from Salamatu Abdulai and a goal each from Princess Owusu and Abiba Issah were enough to seal the victory for Yussif Basigi’s side.
Ghana has been drawn in Group E with Austria, New Zealand, and one-time winners, Japan in the 2024 U-20 World Cup which is scheduled to start on August 31.
Meanwhile Hasaacas Ladies have been drawn in Group B for the upcoming CAF WAFU B Women’s Champions League Qualifiers.
The five-time Ghanaian champions will lock horns with Edo Queens of Nigeria, Omnisports Etincelle of Burkina Faso and AS Garde National of Niger in the zonal qualifiers of the 2024/25 CAF Women’s Champions League.
The WAFU B qualifiers will commence on August 10 in Abidjan with the final set to be played on August 23, 2024.
