Nations FC beat Accra Lions 1-0 at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Friday, 17 May, 2024 courtesy a Barimah Baah strike, keeping the unbeaten home record alive.

The Ghana Premier League debutants have showcased remarkable resilience on home soil this term, occupying the second position in the league standings with 48 points after overcoming a challenging start.

The Abrankese-based club, currently enjoying an undefeated home record, sit second in the league standings alongside FC Samartex as the teams with the best home record with 36 points and 39 points respectively.

Nations aim to extend their streak and continue their ascent in the league standings, with four rounds left to play to end the current season.

The newcomers, Nations FC, are causing quite a stir in the Ghana Premier League, as the debutants have achieved 16 impressive unbeaten home records with 10 wins and 6 draws.

Nations have scored twenty-seven home goals in their sixteen games at their home in Abrankese. Impressively, the newcomers have conceded only 9 goals at home with 9 clean sheets, making Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex a fortress for other clubs in the Ghana Premier League.

Nations have enjoyed success at home over some of the division’s traditional heavyweights, such as their 2-2 draw with Asante Kotoko, their 1-1 stalemate against Hearts of Oak and current champions Medeama S.C, their narrow 1-0 win against Accra Great Olympics and CAF Confederation Cup semi-finalist Dreams FC, shows why Nations are the team to beat at home.

With just one home game left for Nations FC this season and with Nations set to stay in the top flight for next season and possibly beyond, can Kassim Mingle’s men equal WAFA’s 46 unbeaten run at home ( from 2015-2018) or even better it ?
