A 57-year-old woman, Salimatu Abubakar, has been reported missing after she was last seen on Sunday evening around 7:40 p.m. at her residence in Madina Washington, near the Madina Astroturf.
According to her son, Abdul Fatahu, Salimatu was at home yesterday when he left around 7:40 p.m. However, when he returned shortly after 9:00 p.m., she was nowhere to be found. She did not inform anyone of her whereabouts or intentions before leaving.
Salimatu was last seen wearing a yellow patterned dress, a headscarf, and Adidas slippers. The yellow patterned dress is pictured below for reference.
She is described as slim and fair in complexion, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with short hair. She has a distinctive birthmark on her left cheek, a scar on her left hand, and a tattoo of her name, “Salimatu” on the same left hand.
Her son also disclosed that she did not take her mobile phone or any form of identification with her, making it difficult to reach her.
Abdul Fatahu added that while Salimatu occasionally experiences mental health challenges, she is friendly, non-aggressive, and approachable. He urges anyone who encounters her to engage her gently.
