Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations Matchday 6 qualifier against Niger will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, November 18, 2024.

The venue, previously approved for the October qualifier against Sudan, will once again host the Black Stars as they compete against Niger’s Menas, aiming to secure qualification for the 2025 AFCON tournament in Morocco.

Currently, Ghana holds third place in Group F with 2 points, sitting 10 points behind group leaders Angola and 5 points behind Sudan, who are in second place.

Since Ghana’s game against Sudan, the Accra Sports Stadium has remained closed for league matches, largely due to ongoing refurbishment before and after the qualifiers.

Ghana  Premier League teams, including Accra Hearts of Oak, Accra Lions, Dreams FC, and others, have opted for alternative venues to help preserve the stadium’s condition for CAF’s approval ahead of Ghana’s upcoming home match against Niger and the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.

The Black Stars are in real danger of missing out on the biggest continental showpiece for the first time in 20 years after some drab and sub par performances in the last 4 games in the qualifying series ahead of November’s internationals.
