The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the provisional results for the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates in Ghana.

In a press statement issued on December 30, 2024, WAEC announced that the results have been made available online and to school heads for dissemination to candidates.

Candidates who wish to check their results can do so by visiting the official WAEC website at [www.waecgh.org](http://www.waecgh.org).

Additionally, WAEC has implemented a secure verification system through its QR code feature, which allows stakeholders to authenticate results.

WAEC has cautioned all candidates and stakeholders to be vigilant against fraudsters promising to upgrade results for a fee, emphasizing that such promises are fraudulent and should be disregarded.

A total of 460,611 candidates registered for the 2024 WASSCE across 1,003 schools, an increase of 2.66% compared to the 2023 figure of 448,674. This year’s entries consisted of 212,954 males and 247,657 females. However, the statement noted that 4,609 candidates, representing 1% of the total, were absent from the examination.

The Council also shared insights into candidates’ performance across the four core subjects, promising detailed statistical tables to support its analysis.

WAEC has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process and ensuring transparency in the release of results. The release serves as a significant milestone for candidates awaiting their results to pursue further education or career opportunities.

For more updates, candidates are advised to stay tuned to WAEC’s official communication channels.
