Arsenal secured a 2-1 victory over Fulham, marked by Bukayo Saka’s impactful return from injury. Saka, who had been sidelined for over three months with a hamstring issue, entered the match in the 66th minute and scored just seven minutes later, heading in a flicked pass from Gabriel Martinelli.
Earlier, Mikel Merino opened the scoring in the 37th minute with a deflected shot. Despite a stoppage-time goal from Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz, Arsenal held on for the win. However, the match also saw defender Gabriel Magalhães exit early due to a hamstring injury, adding to Arsenal’s defensive concerns ahead of their Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid.
This victory keeps Arsenal firmly in the Premier League title race, leaving them nine points behind leaders Liverpool with eight games remaining.
