National Peace Council, NCCE urges citizens to uphold peace ahead of December 7 Elections

In a collaborative effort to promote peace and civic responsibility, the National Peace Council, in partnership with the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), organized an event at the Abelenkpe Presbyterian Church in Greater Accra.

The event served as a platform to engage citizens on the importance of adhering to the rule of law, especially as Ghana approaches the much-anticipated elections on December 7.

During the program, Afua Boatemaa senior research fellow at the legon centre highlighted that it is all about the need for us to have peace, to live together in a productive manner.

while individuals may hold diverse opinions, the critical juncture in Ghana’s democratic journey calls for prioritizing legal adherence over personal biases.”

She also added that we should all contribute to peace building in the country.

Ghana is all we have. And we hope that Ghana will do far better than it is doing. So in this election, what we encourage everyone is, exercise your spirit response. And what do you call it? Privileges responsibly let Ghana win. Because Ghana must win for us to be able to develop, grow, and prosper.”
