Ghanaian midfielder, Mohammed Kudus has made an iconic debut at West Ham United, in a 2-1 victory over Luton Town at Kenilworth Road stadium on 1st September, 2023.

Kudus was limited to a cameo performance with the Ghanaian player introduced in stoppage time to help West Ham United see out the game.

West Ham were in the ascendancy before the courtesy strikes from Jarrod Bowen and French center back, Kurt Zouma.

Bowen got to the end of a Lucas Paqueta cross before he forced an error from Luton shot stopper, Thomas Kaminsiki to give the hammers the lead. It was the English man’s third consecutive away goal.

The Hammers were far from finished as Kurt Zouma headed home from a James Ward Prowse corner Kick to double the lead and seemingly put the game beyond the Hatters, with 5 minutes to the end of the full time whistle.

Luton Town however responded with a goal of their own to set up a thrilling finale as Mads Andersen guided his header past the outstretched Alphonse Areola to end the game in a nervy finish.

Kudus enjoyed only four minutes of action, with Paqueta making way for the Ghanaian in the 90th minute to help his new side see the game through.

With the victory over Luton Town, West Ham United sits at the summit of the English Premier League, ahead of today’s round of fixtures on match day 4.

Meanwhile, Kudus is set to join the Black Stars of Ghana as they prepare for their crunch African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifier tie against the Central African Republic.

The Ghanaian playmaker is expected to play full throttle of games when the Premier League resumes after the International break.

West Ham will be hoping to continue their good run of form, when they take on defending champions, Manchester City in their next fixture at the London stadium on September 16, 2023.
