The Ghana Grid Company LTD (GRIDCo) and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) have blamed the ongoing intermittent power outages, popularly referred to as ‘dumsor,’ on a technical issue at the Ghana National Gas Company’s (GNGC) Gas Processing Plant in Atuabo.
In a joint statement, GRIDCo and ECG issued an apology for the inconvenience caused and assured the public that GNGC engineers are actively working to resolve the problem and restore full gas supply
Several areas in the country have been experiencing power cuts due to a shortage in gas supply for electricity generation.
