Ghana Civil Aviation Authority wins maiden UG Corporate Football League title

The maiden edition of the University of Ghana Corporate Football League ended dramatically as the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority were crowned champions after a tense penalty shootout victory over Union Ghana.

In a gripping final, the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority took the lead late in the second half, sparking scenes of celebration.

However, Union Ghana showed great determination, and in added time, Emmanuel Arthur turned provider with a crucial assist that led to his side’s equaliser, forcing the game into a penalty shootout.

In the shootout, goalkeeper Tsawodzi Ruben delivered a match-winning performance, pulling off two brilliant saves to hand the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority a 4–2 victory and the championship title.

Prince Aboagye of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority was named the Most Valuable Player of the final, while Emmanuel Arthur, who not only assisted in the equaliser but also led the scoring charts, finished as the league’s top scorer with nine goals.
