Black Galaxies and Asante Kotoko SC forward Albert Amoah says he is confident of Ghana’s readiness as they prepare to face Nigeria in the final qualifiers for the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN).

Two years ago, the Black Galaxies edged out their Nigerian counterparts on penalties to secure a spot in the last edition of the tournament.

Once again, both nations are aiming to secure a place in the rescheduled CHAN tournament (exclusively featuring players competing in their respective domestic leagues), set to be hosted jointly by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

With high expectations surrounding their performance, Amoah called for support from fans.

“I want the fans to show up in their numbers, and we will give them the victory they want,” he pledged.

“Looking at how far we’ve come in terms of preparation, I think Ghanaians should expect something positive from us,” he stated.

We have really prepared well and are looking to make Ghanaians happy and bring the love for football back”, he added.

Ghana will host Nigeria in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, with the return fixture set to take place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
